Looking for some new techniques?
In collaboration with Papergirl Vancouver, Caede Pungente of Caede's Cards will be putting on a workshop where you can hone your papercrafting skills and use a sewing machine. This card-making workshop will be a perfect opportunity to make customized cards for upcoming celebrations, special events or a simple thank you. If you are interested in collage or assemblage art, then this workshop is for you!
You will go home with several new tips and techniques as well as your own unique card. You will also be contributing to Papergirl Vancouver's movement of giving by sharing your design.
The workshop will take place September 27th from 7-9:30pm at the Roundhouse Community Centre.
About Caede
You might recognize Caede's creative work from the Oak Street Farmer's Market or Bird on a Wire Creations (Main street) where she has exhibited and sold her unique cards. Caede has worked in various mediums from ceramic tile mosaics, fabric, and more recently with paper. She teaches classes that encourage others to use their creativity.
With a keen eye for proportion, colour and texture, Caede delights in creating custom and one-of-a-kind creations. Some of her favourite techniques include paper folding, sewing and paper ripping; using typical montage tools scissors and glue, but also more uncommonly, she employs a sewing machine with long straight stitches or zig zag stitches for a unique touch!
