Inspired by art crawls, we thought it'd be fun to take a virtual look inside the homes of some of our team members to see what art they have surrounding them. We're hoping to spark some thoughts about how art is different to every person, as well as reflect upon what we have chosen to hang on our walls or display on a shelf -- and why. Art has the amazing capacity to be whatever a person decides it is, whether it is a painting by a famous artist or a drawing by your child or a found photograph. We hope you enjoy these glimpses into the art that we treasure and take comfort in!
This art tour is brought to you by Tara Galuska, our Workshop Co Facilitator, Artist Interviewer and Wheelie Wednesday blogger. If you haven't yet read them, take a look at previous art tours with Eryne and Julie.
Hello Papergirls and Paperboys and welcome to my home! I live here with my husband Bill and our two cats Daisy and Bijou. We have lived here for about a year and a half and before that we were in Australia where I grew up from the age of 5. I didn't bring many things from my life in Australia but as you can see I have managed to fill up our space pretty easily. If I was to find a theme for the arts and crafts in my home it would be that I like quirky, feminine pieces that tell a story or have a connection to a person or a time in my life. Oh and also as a cat lady I am a complete sucker for anything cat related so there is that too.
