Leonardo DaVinci, one of the most well known artists in our time, spent a good chunk of his life unable to truly attain his goals. Facing rejection and criticism of his work until the later years of his life. So for those of you out there who have hesitated to pick up a brush, marker, or pencil. Realize that true artists make mistakes, quite a lot of them in fact. To those who have been drawing or painting for a while, realize that there are artists who have spent the last 2, 5, or 7 years working on their craft still unable to get their art to the point they want. You will get there but it will be hard and that’s part of fun.
I hope this inspires you to get in touch with your creative side, and connect with your community by submitting to Papergirl 2014. Please visit our site for instructions on the easy 3-step submission process at : http://www.papergirlvancouver.com/submit-your-work.html .
