SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM MEMBERS
Papergirl Vancouver is an inclusive, non-commercial art project that brings people together in celebration of art and community in an unconventional way: through the spirit of altruism.
In this annual project, artists of all ages and abilities are invited to donate their work to a non-juried exhibition. Afterward, the artwork is rolled into bundles and is distributed by a team of cyclists (in the style of the American paperboy) to anyone they meet along specific bike routes around Vancouver.
We are looking for team members for 2014! In joining our dynamic member of dedicated volunteers you will help bring Papergirl: Art of Giving Art to the people of Vancouver.

Social Media Team Members Role Description: If you have enthusiasm for the arts, know how to use hashtags and have a keen eye for grammar and punctuation this might be a great fir for you! Join our social media team, helping to spread the excitement of all things Papergirl Vancouver related! You will be responsible for one week each working with our Social Media Coordinator to help increase awareness of Papergirl Vancouver, drive traffic to our website and engage the public online. You will research and create content, review analytic and support the rest of the Papergirl team to communicate various aspects of the project.

Each volunteer is required to:
- Attend our Team Kick off meeting March 13th
- Be able to commit 5-10 volunteer hours from March 13-August 8th 2014
- Attend a monthly team meeting and report back to the team on their progress
- Use our online project management system. We will train you on this at our kick off meeting
- Be able to attend 3 of the 5 core events in July. We will discuss this at our team kick off meeting

Tasks and Duties
- Work with a team of volunteers to run our social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pintrest, blog, Youtube,Flickr, and newsletter)
- Work towards social media strategy goals that will incorporate various aspects of Papergirl (events, workshops, outreach, ideas, press coverage, reach, etc.)
- Share stories that engage and inspire people in relation to the Papergirl spirit and values.
- Content creation keeping in mind: how can we provide that “wow” factor? Be innovative! Creative!
- Social media research to identify key audiences to partner with.
- Moderation of questions, concerns, or other conversations through social media outlets and e-mail.
- Promote contributing artists and other Papergirl projects through social media and on the website/blog with links and short bios.
- Find guest bloggers and invite them to contribute their experience of Papergirl Vancouver, art, cycling, creativity, etc.
Deliverables
- Production of monthly newsletter
- Production on monthly analytical reports and present findings at monthly team meetings
- Increased audience reach through subscription and sharing of Papergirl content.
- Engaging supporters to become advocates of Papergirl Vancouver.
- Maintenance of social media accounts and blogs, ensuring relevance of content.
Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in social networks including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, Youtube.
- Proper grammar and clear writing.
- Ability to adhere to tone and voice of Papergirl Vancouver.
- Ability to connect enthusiastically and helpfully with the public.
- Work well within a team.
- Self-motivated and ability to work well independently.
- Interested in progressive and unique acts of community-engaged art.
- Desire to be a part of a rapidly growing dynamic team of volunteers.
- Clear and concise writing.
